Art is beauty, it's what you feel, an emotion, it's you and me, it's everything, art is life. Art defines who we are. It's in the past, it's in the future, in our daily lives, and on every corner that you turn. Art is that indescribable joy that you feel when you know you have accomplished something great, it shows how far the mind is willing to go for creativity. It comes in many different shapes or forms; music, dance, theater, painting, drawing. It's our senses; feeling, seeing, smelling, tasting and hearing. Art is here to intrigue the mind, to create emotional and physical reactions. Without art we would be nothing.
This year we created many things. I learned how to make a pinata, a book from scratch, and did fun stuff like play around with collages. The funnest to make was the pinata. I decided to make a Minnie Mouse, but my poor Minnie went through so many obsticles! It first decided to look deformed because of a dent, and once it went through surgery and got fixed the face would not come out, so I just left it faceless because it honestly looked better that way. I guess it was just ment to be faceless, so hence my faceless, very gold Minnie Mouse was created! The most creative project we did was the collage. I love collage making so I made sure mine looked very colorful, cool, and eye catching. It was so much fun I made more than one. My collages consisted of many colors, different cultures and a juxapositon of the pictures. The hardest for me out of all my projects was the book making. All the binding, and threading, and hot glueing exhausted me! Painting it was fun, with its blue glittery paint and my name across it, and I'm almost sure if I decide to do a book once more, it will show up way better, since now I know what to expect.
My projects are similar in some ways. All three projects represent a part of me. They're all creative because theres more than one thing going on, colorful because of the colors I used, and bright because they stand out. They took time and effort just to be perfect in my eyes. They all had some challenges, but they were worth it because the end product was amazing.
My three projects were also unique in their own ways. My Minnie was the biggest and brightest because of the gold paint and bow and also the funniest to look at, since it had no face, the book was the smallest and it was more simple, and the collage was the most creative because of all the pictures put in and I think the most eye drawing. The hardest to make was the book, the easiest was the collage, and the pinata took the most time to make.
This year consisted of many different projects based on new vocabulary everytime. It was fun and interesting to learn so many new things to do, since some I didn't even know how to make. The projects were all fun to make, and were indivually challeging. The projects expanded our creativity and challenged us to make it our own. It motivated us to give it our time and effort so when it's all done, we are proud with what we had made.
